The BCCA hosts a 30 Second Commercial Contest each year in middle and high schools where students use their creative skills to compose a commercial that focuses on decreasing access and availability of alcohol. School winners are selected from schools that have submissions and county-wide winners are selected from school winners. County-wide winners are given the opportunity to appear in the filming of their commercials, which air on WFNA and FOX10 TV for a minimum of one year. These commercials are converted into radio versions when possible and aired regularly on WABB and Lite Mix 99.9. School and overall winners receive prize packs from media representatives. Photos along with an article outlining the contest are submitted to local newspapers, school websites, and the BCCA website.
