About Us

The Baldwin County Community Alliance (BCCA) operates under the auspices of AltaPointe Health Systems, formerly known as Baldwin County Mental Health Center, Inc. Prevention Services. The BCCA comprises community agencies that meet regularly to discuss and implement strategies that target underage drinking and prescription drug use among Baldwin County youth.  The primary goal of the BCCA is to decrease access and availability of alcohol among youth while changing community norms and attitudes through multiple media campaigns. The BCCA also uses strategies to form partnerships with parents to educate them on the dangers of underage drinking and how underage drinking is often a precursor for further involvement with alcohol and other substance use and abuse. In addition, the BCCA educates adolescents on the dangers of underage drinking through various strategies.
